THE FRUSTRATION OF FICKLE FILTERS

When blogging a subject as morose as a tomb,
Such as babies killed while in Momma’a womb.
We must not offend.
Stark language must end.
Words like: murder, gloom, doom and kaboom.

Sacred Revelations
Topic: Fable Excerpts

Excerpt From The Grim Shadow: A Modern Day Fable

"Far off near the edge of The Dimension of Barbarik close to the top of Mount Egavas was a naturally hidden cave of crystal formations. At night it was dark and dreary but during the day for the few moments that the sunbeams blazed directly through a small aperture in its ceiling the entire cave would be transformed into a giant prism reflecting a thousand ricocheting rainbows of light. The existence of the cave was known only to members of the Clan of the True Believers. It's secrets were sacred and never to be discussed outside of the cave, not even amongst themselves."

A Culture Distorted

BAD CHOICE

How much progress would be unrecorded,
How greatly our culture distorted,
If Edison and Gates,
Shakespeare and Yeats
Had never been born, but aborted?

The Clans of Barbarik - Which Clan would YOU belong to?
Topic: FABLE/PARABLE

In The Dimension of Barbarik there are six Clans: The True Believers, The Idealists, The Power Hungry, The Skeptics, The Indifferent and the Truly Persecuted. Nanah Cub is a True Believer with a promise seared into his heart's memory - he will be there to greet Tare Ree upon her entrance into Barbarik. Meanwhile, The Executioner has been patiently lurking in the grim shadow that has crept insidiously over The Dimension of Barbarik, making it a race against time to see who gets to Tare Ree first. A story packed full of action, suspense, betrayal, terrorism and a dubious political election, The Grim Shadow: A Modern Day Fable is at its core a parable of courage, loyalty and love.

IDENTITY OBSCENITY
Topic: Outrageous

On TV news during a report on stem cell research which was aired repeatedly, they kept showing a petri dish full of little nubbins - human beings that looked to be about the size of an uncooked navy bean. All I could think of is that it was an obscenity to have such reckless disregard for human life and to be discussing such life as if it were insignificant and then to discuss destroying it for research as if that destruction were also inconsequential. The world has gone mad.

Identity:
The quality or condition of being the same as something else. The collective aspect of the set of characteristics by which a thing is definitively recognizable or known. The set of personal characteristics by which an individual is recognizable as a member of a group, individuality.

Obscenity
Offensive to accepted standards of decency or modesty. Lewd, repulsive, disgusting. Offensive to the mind. An abhorrent, loathsome, or repellent deed. Morally repugnant customs. Repulsive behavior, an indecent gesture.

I wrote The Grim Shadow: A Modern Day Fable in response to such grotesque disregard for the sacredness of human life. It will be published in September.

THE ISLAND Movie Theme - Sanctity of Life
Topic: Movie Reviews

My husband and I went to see the movie, The Island, the day it came out. It was an enjoyable film with a lot of action. I was quite surprised with its "pro-life" theme. It focused on the evil of creating human beings solely for the purpose of destroying them for the benefit other human beings.

I was also surprised by its low box office the opening weekend. I feel perhaps it would be a good idea for pro-life advocates to go and support this movie. How often does Hollywood come out with something with this kind of message?

TERRIFIED TISSUE

“Oh, Mama, don’t let that thing get me!
Oh, Mama, you’ve not even met me!
Oh, Mama, please give

Oh, Mama, you’d never regret me!”

LEGAL ISSUE

Five Justices' wanton support
Preserves the grim "right" to abort:
To keep babies alive,
Replace one of those five
And establish a life-choosing Court.

REALLY GOT THE COGS WORKING...
Topic: Fable Reviews

It's refreshing to look at the abortion debate through a different looking glass. Things that we've grown accustomed to seem so 'odd' or 'grotesque' when we examine them within the context of your work. Really got the cogs working... This was an excellent piece! Keep writing. (PollGear Feedback)

Welcome to My Home
Topic: Fable Excerpts

An excerpt from:
The Grim Shadow: A Modern Day Fable

Then one fateful day The Dimension of Barbarik started closing in on him. He was being squeezed and pushed and crushed in the darkness. Everything in Nanah Cub's world was changing! A panic seized him and he was terrified of what would come next. Suddenly the darkness was shattered by a bright light! And the warmth was replaced by a shivering cold. And Nanah Cub felt so - unprotected!

Then almost as if by magic he found himself within a warm, sheltering embrace and looked for the first time into somehow familiar eyes filled with joy and laughter. And the familiar melody began again. Only this time he could comprehend its meaning...

"Dear One, welcome to my home.
Always know you're not alone.
You will live here safe with me.
I'll love you for eternity."

THE GRIM SHADOW - A Modern-Day Dable
Topic: FABLE/PARABLE

My name is Carol Saunders and this is my Pro-Life Blog. I campaigned for Patrick J. Buchanan during the 2000 presidential election. The number one reason was because he is a strong defender of the unborn. After the election I wrote a story as a sort of therapy to get over the insanity of politics. It actually did help restore my equilibrium. The story starts out innocuous enough but gets brutal towards the end. The book should be published around the middle of Septemter, 2005.
