You can say this for Clinton - at least he wasn't timid. If President Bush had stepped in and demanded that Terri Schiavo's life be spared, he actually would now have my undying (and possibly unquestioning) loyalty. But he proved to be totally impotent in the matter and I owe him no such allegiance.
